I like this game for learning geography. However, it’s not possible to change the language of the game; it’s always based on the phone’s language. I keep my phone in a different language but would like to use the app in English. So kind of a bummer.

Suprised at good reviews

I downloaded this app because it had tons of good reviews. After using it for a bit I was surprised because you have to pay to use even the most basic of maps. The apps gives you the bare basics and everything beyond that is behind a pay wall. It seems most of these reviews are from before an update that took all the maps away from the free version. Good concept, but too expensive.

Before heading to Africa from North America, I fine-tuned my geography identifying skills using this app. Now while here I use it to have fun helping others identify places on the other continents.

My son’s elementary school has a US and a world map painted on the blacktop, both unlabeled. I could name all 50 states but I was embarrassed how few countries I could name! I tried many apps but this was the one that functioned exactly as I’d hoped: quizzes you by naming a country and has you tap it. It tells you when you’re wrong and points out the correct location. Vector-based map lets you zoom and scroll. High functionality and really helps you learn!
