Mansions of Madness is a cooperative board game of investigation and horror inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. During each game, one to five players explore a location to unravel a mystery.
This companion app guides you through the haunted halls and misty alleyways of Arkham in stories of varied length and difficulty. In addition, investigators need to overcome various challenges, including fending off terrible creatures, befriending non-player characters, and solving puzzles.

I have the Second Edition and was so looking forward to playing it but I can’t get by the beginning. This app either reverts back to tile that I have to assume are the first addition (even though I have Second Edition enabled in the options) or it shows completely different investigators than I selected. I’ve restarted the game more than a dozen times and am now totally disheartened that I can never play this game. Please fix your app. So annoying!!!

App is pretty good, definitely take the game to the new level. I just wish all the tax was narrated with an actors voice. It would add so much more to the game instead of just reading countless screen text

The app works great. I have no issues with it. It has worked solidly and has great presentation. Love it. The main issue that I have with it now is that it needs to be updated so that it works with the new screen ratio for the iPad Pro 11 inch. Since it has not yet been updated, it has black bars showing on the sides of the app. The the app still works as before but it is ugly and not utilizing the full screen of the iPad Pro 11 inch. Looking forward to the update. When the app works with the new screen size I’ll give the fifth star! Keep up the good work.

Bought this for my wife. Enjoyed playing it a couple times but EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the number of scenarios. There are only 4 scenarios which come with the $100 game (one of which is 4 hours long, much longer than we want to play) and then they want you to buy additional scenarios. Seems lame and a poor value especially when games like Betrayal on house on the hill had dozens of scenarios.

I played this with four other people for the first time today. It was really fun and guys and girls alike all enjoyed it. I think it could better immerse players by adding some death sounds for creatures on the app, or having the enemies possibly randomly drop different loot? Currently killing a monster feels unrewarding or anticlimactic. I suppose it seems from my perspective as a player it would be easy to add these although I know it may not be the case. After having played this with my friends copy I did go out and buy my own and intend to add the expansions as well. This is a SERIOUSLY fun game.

Love this game! Played it twice, and love it. I am always excited to play more. What makes this game fun is the immersion into the story. More sound affects and voice acting would enhance this further. To make it a five start some suggested features. Have players create a user profile so DLC can be synced across platforms. I am all for paying for more content to support the maintenance of this APP, but having to rebuy content due to a change in platform is disappointing. Please add more 60-90 minute DLC so I can introduce others. Adding more voice acting into the dialogue would make it a fuller experience, and sound effects when monsters are introduced. This is how I get others hooked and they buy the game. During horror and combat checks, separate out the check and the outcomes dialogue box. This way there is more suspense so the players do not know what happens when you fail or succeed thus making harder decisions to use clues or not. Add theme DLC for holidays, Halloween, Valentines, St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas, etc. more opportunity for income, a win-win! I love the balance of board game and app usage. Reminds of the Clue board game with VHS accompanying it. This is fantastic for haunting theme parties! Highly recommend.

This is fantastic and brilliant in what it tracks and what it doesn’t. I would like to see more shorter missions. I’d also like to see an option to turn off the “timer” the app uses to decide when to start crushing the players more directly. Many times, the group does not know what to skip and uses a lot of actions being thorough.

The base game is $90-100 and only gives access to 4 scenarios. Each other scenario must be purchased for $4.99 each or as $25-50 physical expansions. The game itself is fun and well designed and we enjoy playing but for $100 we expect more than 4 scenarios. I would give it 4 stars if not for the poor value.
