This has been an excellent app for reacquainting me with French. Lessons are divided into subject areas or topics. Grammar and conjugation are not well addressed, so this is probably not the best app for someone totally new to French.

Excellent app for learning a language.

I spoke fluent Italian with my grandparents as a child and young adult. That was over 50 years ago. My wife and I are planning a trip to Italy and I thought I would brush up on my Italian. This is a very easy to use system and uses repetition to reinforce what you have learned. If you want to learn a language and don’t have a library card, get one and start learning quickly and easily.

I got Mango through my public library. I find it better than the other language apps for providing the fundamentals of grammar and contextual information that is helpful in the process. I use it in conjunction with Rosetta Stone; I feel they compliment each other well, each providing what the other lacks.

Amazing resource, however 3.1.6 update...

I love Mango very much, it has been a great resource throughout all my language endeavors and is always my number one place to go when beginning a new language. That said, I'd love to continue doing this, however, with the newest version of the app, 3.1.6, I'm met with a crash upon every attempt to open the application. I'm running iOS 9.0.3 on an iPhone 6S.

Mango is great for learning languages, but it’s terrible at actually running. With the new updates, the app won’t open. Please get it working! I love using your app!
