I love this app, but it often causes my iPad to freeze or crash.

Ads

Cate6488

Similar to many other reviews, it is understandable to include a coin system to finance all of the authors and such however, there is the opportunity to watch advertisements instead of waiting or paying for coins. The bad thing is that there is never any ads to watch, thus you always have to wait for coupons. I would use this app more if there were actually advertisements readily available.

Eh

it was to expensive

It was a good app but than paying was a bad idea I love manga but I am not rich so maybe work on that plz other than that I love this app

Coin System

Alinka909

I love this app but they need to work on their coin system. Whenever I purchase a chapter, it brings me to the previous chapter and makes me have to spend twice the amount of coins. This is ridiculous.

really? Locked episodes crap

salty biscut

ok the app is great and has some really good stories but the thing that bothers me is that ALL the good stories you have to pay for. The minute a story gets popular the eps become locked and you have to pay to see it and what bothers me even more than that is that after paying you only have 72 hours to read it before it’s locked again. I’m saying all this fully acknowledging that the authors and translators have to get paid BUT using a simple method such as the one webtoon uses will solve the problem and would probably temp people to buy instead of a money grabbing way. good stories though

Great app great stories!!!

I am absolutely addicted and love all the different stories. I’ve read some of the reviews and a lot of people are complaining about having to read other stories to get more points or watch ads, if they don’t want to pay for coins. I don’t watch ads ever but I do appreciate the option to read different stories for points. Some of the stories are something that I wouldn’t think I’d like but end up enjoying them. I mean a few of them weren’t to my liking but that’s all on preference. I honestly don’t mind spending money on coins it’s literally like a few cents per chapter and I know that the artist need to get paid somehow too. I hope people will be able to think logically and be more understanding when it comes to the option to pay or watch ads or read things they “don’t want to read.” I will say that sometimes the translations aren’t the best, I’ve seen worse, but I can still make out what the general sentence is and I autocorrect in my head. Also, some chapters can be a bit short but I noticed most of the short chapters come from series that update every few days instead of once a week. I do have a final question tho. I’m wondering what the numbers mean on the weekly crazy update? Ie: It’ll say on the pic “crazy update + 10”

Buy coins to pay for individual chapters ??‍♀️

Rosebwitch

I actually read all of these chapters for free on another site. Paying for coins to use to unlock chapters is ridiculous... I’d rather pay for a monthly membership, have advertisements, and have a button that offers readers an ability to donate to their free authors... but paying for individual chapters is ridiculous and I personally wouldn’t do it. ??‍♀️

?

themadtyper.......

I’ve been having this app for kinda long time like 5 months, and this recent few weeks I have been having problems getting into the app,it would be a white screen then it would kick me ( day anyone else have it this problem

Allow rereading of last chapter

TaintedMask

MangaToon has a good selection of titles and frequent episode updates, better than other apps that I have seen. However, the fact that I have to unlock the episode which I last read again every time there is a new update is quite frustrating. An unlocked episode lasts for 3 days, but a new chapter may come out 4 days later. So by then it already expired. My suggestion is to keep the last chapter I was on to be unlocked, so I can continue my reading from there. If MangaToon does this, I will update my review to 5 star.

Needs a monthly membership plan!!

I want to start this off by saying “This app is great, they have more episodes and more interesting things to read than Webcomics.” However, it’s to the point where it begins to feel like a money scam. You pay for points to get a few episodes, but a few episodes is nothing compared to a comic that has 300+ episodes. I understand the authors need to get paid; I’m fully aware of that important fact as we need money to survive. But when you have steady waste the money you work hard for just to unlock a few episodes it begins to get tedious and tiresome. When I was on Webcomics they gave a three day trial membership, and honestly it worked. After my three days expired I was spending my coins rapidly to read the comics I adored. Well I wasn’t going to buy coins just to unlock one episode for a few days, so I looked into something that would let me read comics freely with a few. And they offered it, and surly without second thought I purchased it. I love reading comics and would spend the money but what I’m not down for is wasting money. I see it as if people stop spending money on coins for the authors comics they lose money. So why not just offer a membership to meet both of worlds? Authors still get paid and we get to read comics freely. MangaToon has more episodes and comics than Webcomics indeed. But people will always stay with them like me if y’all continue to be greedy for money. At least offer a membership for 15 or 20 to cover everything. But that’s not happening, so until than I’ll just either watch them on YouTube or wait for Webcomics to drop more chapters. As once said the app is better than Webcomics but it’s more money hungry than Webcomics and that’s where I don’t agree with. When y’all are able to make a membership I shall be the first to buy it, until than please work on a solution.
