I would never recommend an app to help someone learn anything, but MU is an exception. I quickly learned the basics and was able to find more material at Manga University's website to "level-up" my manga skills. I will warn you that this app does NOT teach you to create characters, only the basics ( eyes, clothes, hair,etc.)

Ok, listen. Let's get real. My daughter asked for this app and I got it. She complained it only has two colors and that its laggy. Also, the app shut down when she saved it to photos. (The picture) I looked for my self and saw it was exactly that, and its bad. I recommend not getting this app to ANYONE!!!!!!!!!! Terrible app, if I could rate it zero I would. Well, there's the truth if you want it.

Ok. this app is kinda just?bad. I have three reasons why....first of all why doesn't it have more than two colors? Second of all it actually isn't giving us a how to. Actually quite the opposite!( literally nothing!they are just telling us, "put more detail in it then it's easy!") Lastly the app gives the picture examples so much detail in the how to guide, but we actually don't get any of those materials we need for the actual drawing in the sketchpad. Oh and I also forgot, just like the colors it only gives us TWO and only two drawing options... writing and erasing! I don't want to be harsh but,?in other words this app is an obstruction.

So I think this is a good app but now it keeps crashing on me whenever I try to open it. It could use improvements like coloring or more interactive tutorials but I recognize that this is a free app. Main thing is to figure out why it seems to be crashing.

When I try to draw with my Apple Pencil, it doesn’t go with the strokes. I draw something, and then 5 seconds later it appears. It barely is good!

I’m someone who is trying to get into drawing anime characters and so far I’ve never made an attempt so this app wasn’t much help to beginners but instead it’s basically training but it is still a good app when you have learned the basics.
