Making Faces was born out of uChoose, our popular social skills game. The user chooses their character and then has to fill in their blank face to match the emotion specified. They can then practice matching the emotion using their iPad's camera.

How it works:
1. Choose your character. We have several realistic-looking characters to choose from.
2. Choose your level. The EASY level provides written hints as to what the face parts look like. (For example, the Sad emotion has “downward eyes” and a “big frown.”) The HARD level does not provide those text hints.
3. Make the face. An emotion is randomly chosen for your chosen character. Match the nose/mouth and then the eyes. Don’t worry if you don’t get it right away - play until you get it right.
4. Selfie time! Take your photo to look like this emotion. Using the camera function of your iPad, you can take a picture that will be saved to your device’s photo roll. (Feel free to print our share your photos from there!)
5. Play again.

Facial expressions used include: Angry, Sad, Surprised, Happy, Bored, and Nervous.

Designed to help those with autism spectrum disorders who have difficulty identifying emotions in others and themselves, this app can be easily enjoyed by others, too! This app is best for children who can read, roughly 5 years and up, or children using it with an adult.
