No nonsense accessible method of helping kids see chunks in words.

No nonsense accessible method of helping kids see chunks in words. Just wish it went beyond 50

Pronunciation of "end" confusing

I got this app to work with students with dyslexia who need systematic phonics training. I like the app, but was disappointed with the pronunciation of word families that start with the letter "e". They sound more like short i than short e. This will be confusing for my learners. Maybe it's a regional thing. I am from the Northeast. I wonder if it would be possible to give a choice for the reader's voice in a future update. That would be great!

Great complement to Making Words and Systematic Sequential Phonics

Our child has a disability related to reading and auditory processing. This app is a much better word study approach than Words Their Way type word sorts because it actively gets the student involved in seeing how changing 1 or 2 letters changes the word and focuses on rhyming words, not just those with the same ending consonants. I hope Tapfun will add exercises to use words in sentences and add a lower male voice. For kids with fluid in the ear or other hearing issues, lower frequencies can sometimes be heard and processed better than higher frequency voices. I sometimes find my son cannot recognize the word if read by the app but if I repeat it, he has no problem. Slower enunciation with greater emphasis of blended letters like “SS-PP-LL-A-TT” if the child hits the repeat sound button will make it easier for kids with hearing/auditory processing issues to use it independently.

Never loaded; won't delete

This app just sits on my screen and says waiting. It has been this way for months. I tried to delete it, but it won't even let me do that. It's very disappointing. It looks like a good resource, but it doesn't do much good if I can't get it on the iPad. ?
