Great but minor issues

person u prolly know

The apps editing is super clean and is great quality, but it may not have asias many benefits for darker skin tones only because when the app auto edits any blemishes, it does make the skin tone a shade lighter. This can potentially be something problematic. Either way the app is great quality.

Solid App

It does way more than I need it to. I love knowing that I can take a picture not at my best, and just add my makeup after the fact.

Love it !!

So much fun! You can change anything! Stuff that costs loads of money IRL is possible with a few taps! Different levels help keep it looking natural. So cool! So sweet.

Hate the new update

Shinki7

The new update changes it too much. Looks like plastic surgery because I can't revert back to what the picture originally looked like. At least give us the option to revert back to the original picture and make changes from then on.

This app is freaking cool for so many reasons. It’s like Facetune but better & free. I’ve also yet to see an app that gives me such realistic color contacts!!! It’s seriously so much fun to play around with this app. It has filters like Snapchat but way better, too. Love this app?

Awesome ?

Feeds image-related mental illness

I used this when i suffered from extreme anxiety and body dismorphia. I, a 15 year old girl, was obsessed with altering myself to look like gigi hadid. Seeing pictures of her made me feel angry at myself, and it didn’t help that she is constantly celebrated and known solely for he way she looks on the outside. After a year of intense therapy after a suicide attempt, i am still working to accept the way i am naturally, and love myself with and without filters and makeup. I recently used this app to put a makeup filter on a friend for fun, and saw the new “gigi” filter, which alters your face to have similar contours to the model’s. You may not think much of having this as a feature, but this app is advertised specifically towards impressionable teenage girls, and though you may not see the harm this causes, know that you are negatively affecting someone, whether subconsciously or knowingly. You are using insecurity and self doubt to earn money for yourselves. This may not change a thing, and I’m sure this app was not intended to inflict harm, but there is a difference between enhancing someone’s natural beauty with a little color, and creating features that allow one to make their face look skinnier, lighter, or make their eyes look bigger and nose look smaller. Not only is this racist by influencing Western European beauty standards on all faces as the definition for beauty, but directly increases thoughts of self-loathing on your users by subconsciously teaching them that their natural face is not worthy. Think about the impact you want to make on the world, and whether you are hurting or helping your users.
