When veteran video game designers John and Ste Pickford discovered a mysterious bundle of papers hidden in the family attic, who could have guessed it would lead to one of the best new modern puzzle games in years?
To John and Ste's delight their work revealed an addictive, compelling, and completely original strategic puzzle game, which they named 'Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint'.
The game plays very much like pool, using intuitive touch controls. The twist is that balls of the same colour stick together magnetically when they touch.
Magnetic Billiards tables have no pockets, instead balls are removed by building clusters of connected balls, with extra rewards for creating recognised cluster shapes.
Points are scored based on the skill displayed and risks taken each shot, and grades are awarded for the total score earned when a table is cleared.
Clearing a table is the easy part. Trying to earn high scores and achieve high grades is where the surprising genius of the game becomes apparent.
Sure, anyone can beat an F grade, but will you ever get an A grade? Is there a higher grade than A? Can you unlock all the tables?
Although easy to play the game is fiendishly addictive, as the simple game mechanic is deceptively subtle and deep. Even after months of play you'll still be figuring out new ways to beat your previous best scores and grades.
As you aim for higher and higher you'll realise that no two games of Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint are ever alike. Re-playing each table presents you with an endlessly fascinating challenge, as new strategic decisions need to be made with every shot to maximise the points earned.

No review could possibly do justice to this game. Do not let the "free" part of it fool you. I have paid many dollars for games that were not as fun and challenging as this one is. It really and truly is unlike anything in the app store, as well as being unlike anything in any store anywhere. There is genius at work here (well, two actually) and I am already unable to comprehend what gaming can become if these guys keep it up. Let's just say that you will smile like a lunatic and not be able to put this one down until the battery is dead. Just get it already and change what you think you know about the possibilities of portable gaming. This one is a game-changer!

You can't go wrong with this title, not only is it beautifully presented and slick in all departments, it has obviously been crafted by people who love games too; the attention to detailpresentation and execution are second to none. Magnetic Billiards is a great take on a classic game, bringing a lot of what you know, but also throwing enough of it out, to keep it incredibly refreshing, yet familiar. Anyone can play and fun with it and it’s a great title to pass around with your family and friends. Due to the nature of the ball physics in Magnetic Billiards, every table can be done in 1000's of different ways, each game slightly different, increasing the replay value. This game deserves a place on your portable devices, you won’t be disappointed. Great game!!

This is a unique title with a simple concept, yet is very challenging and witty. The controls are well suited to the device, and the presentation and sounds are slick. Definitely worth a "shot".

I'm having a great time with this game - I've been playing on the iPad as well as my iPhone, and it plays very well on both devices. The art style is original, and it is clear that a lot of care and attention has been put into "polish" - something that many iOS games are sadly lacking. Most importantly for me though - the game is fun, and I find myself coming back to play (again - this cannot be said for many apps in the app store). Recommended!!

Absolutely wonderful art direction. It's like these guys are the Ben & Jerry of video games. Everyone should have this game on their device if for nothing more than to appreciate how creative human beings can be.

I didn't expect much from this game, but after four straight hours, I am blown away by how fun this game actually is. My only complaint is that the rest of the paid content seems to not be ready for purchase. Somebody but better get to work! :) I am ready to drop a few dollars on additional game play modes and maps. I'm hoping that some of the maps are a little more open and zoomed out for greater scoring opportunities.
