Should be called Magic Crash!

Phone UI Guy

Tried making a a floor plan and and add a room to it. Crashes every time. Have to wait for a later version.

Good app. Bad security.

The mapping feature is impressive. The rest of the features require an account, and when creating an account, I discovered that passwords are limited to letters and numbers. That doesn’t reflect well on this vendor’s attitude toward security, and I declined to proceed.

Love the interface, but keeps crashing

@TheDude_

I really like this app and hope it is an ios11 bug. I downloaded on my iPad Pro and started laying out my house. Got about 4 rooms deep, and now when I combine rooms together, the app constantly crashes. Hopefully this gets addressed as I really like the interface and ease of modifying things.

Without a doubt, best effing app ever!

Really intuitive, easy and useful

Easy to use, but of course you need light and a somewhat unobstructed corner so you can use the AR measurement. Otherwise it’s a bit difficult to tell where the pointer depth is... not a complaint, just something you have to know before you measure. Since most of my rooms are already furnished, it would be cool if you could use ceiling corners instead of floor. Also, iPhone 8 Plus and the posture calibration crashes as soon as the last picture is taken. Talk about inconvenient crash... after I got a tape measure and laid it out and took 16 pictures at various lengths... it crashes. Not before I spent 15 mins setting that up and trying to take precise pictures. Oh well, don’t let that that detract you from using it... it is amazing!

Amazing AR App that is not just a toy

As a home automation consultant, I am constantly faced with the challenge of fixing Wi-Fi problems in real-world home environments. With MagicPlan, I can quickly generate highly accurate floorplan maps of every part of the home, both inside and out using it’s state-of-the-art augmented reality measuring system. The wealth of file export options means I can easily bring the floorplan diagrams into my laptop Wi-Fi testing system. Now I can show my clients the ‘geeky’ signal-strength heat maps overlaid on a diagram of their actual home. With a scientific approach to measuring Wi-Fi coverage and seeing the results visually, my clients can more easily justify the cost of purchasing the newest mesh Wi-Fi systems and adding multiple access points to their home network. And their kids, well, they just enjoy streaming video without the usual hiccups or slowdowns. – Robert Spivack, SmartHome Technology Specialist, www.DoItForMe.Solutions”
