Fun, but...

Ok, other than the actual badness of it (being a criminal and all) it is a good game. But it is so slow! You hardly get anything useful like characters and weapons. I mean, you don't need make it so easy you get something awesome every second, but come on, we've gotta get something to work with and grow our teams with.

I've been back and forth on this game. The developers have listened to reviews and made alot of changes. It went from 30 min cool down per rep point to a 5 point rep drop every 30 min to a 7 min rep point drop. I think they nailed it with that one. The probelm is the content grinding and extremely low drop rate. I have 4100 rep, havn't spent a dime, but have been stuck on level 7-6 for about a hundred matches. I've also went on 20-0 PVP win streaks with nothing more than old lighters and blood as victory bonus's. If you guys want to keep the level field even by keeping drop rates low your going to lose alot of users. The only way this game will be successful is with higher drop rates and constant updates with better gear to reward higher level players. If i'm in the highest teir of the PvP available with the possibility of epic drops...I feel like i should be getting better gear than i would playing the 1-1 campaign every now and then. I'm only updating this review because I'm kinda done playing.......take some lessons from Super Cell and make the game intresting with the chance of getting gear without paying and constant updates! Look into Clash Of Clans and Clash Royale, see why they have millions of players and you dont have to pay to play if you choose not to and still have some sore of self satifiscation while playing.

Semi-interesting story line, but you literally just do the same thing over and over again (battles). There's a walkthrough at the beginning, but it still doesn't explain some of the details of game play.
Play this if you DON'T want any progress

Been playing for a while and it's getting tiring. The drop rates are crap. Even the bloody graph in the FAQ shows a steep drop between frequencies of commons and uncommons like what gives? You might've just called this "Cashgrab2win The Game" if you want to make it really obvious that it's a cashgrab. And to think you're carrying Mafia's name. Ugh.
Great game, only 1 problem

The game is fun and I love it, it's just that I hate the fact that you can't get Epic characters often. It's so stupid how I got a streak of 5-7 wins in crew vs crew battle and I don't get Vito or Lincoln. And I'm at "The Boss" rank. I hope 2K can fix this stupid problem because I have been try harding for hours and nothing. Other than this, the game is super fun!

This game is fun, but the low drop rate and very high gem prices makes this game a drag. I know the developers have to make money, but the pricing model is way too high. I can not give this game a higher score unless something is done about this.

I really enjoy this game a lot. There's a lot of strategy to it, and some action as well. The graphics are great for a game you can play on your phone. I also enjoy the different character personalities and their development. I've found myself laughing at more than a few things the characters have said in this game. I love the music as well. Not sure why most people haven't rated this game 5 stars. My only complaint would be the language. This is definitely not a game for younger teens and it is a must to play with ear buds or the volume all the way down due to the extreme amount of cursing while in public. Otherwise I love everything about the game. I haven't gotten Mafia 3 yet, but will very soon. Like Mafia 2, and Mafia 1 this game is well done and lot of fun. It makes me all the more pumped to get Mafia 3. Bottom line: in my opinion this is the best game hands down to play on your smart phone, and I will be playing it for a long time to come.
