Great light measuring apps

LoiTran.95

Whoa! This app is very great. It allows me to easily measure light intensity. It is very easy to use and doesn't take time. It love its friendly interface. Thank developers for this amazing app

Great app, really works

Guy on the street

I compared this app to a friends $100 professional tool, it had the EXACT SAME readings. This app is definitely worth the $.99 price tag.

Nice app!

This is a very professional metering tools. Stylish design. Simple operation. Measurement data is accurate.

Really love this

It is an interesting and useful app that can measure the light. In some situations, we need to know about the light intensity, but with no professional devices. with the app, we can finish it using mobile phone

Great

Straightforward, easy to use, and good results. One more thing to use the phone for instead of carrying around a separate item

Measures but does not record light temperature

Dr. Tech

Decent app but documentation is non-existent. You can record light intensity measurements but I have not found a way to record color temp measurements which is the whole reason I bought the app.

Not for iPhone 7 Plus

1. Only uses back cameras on 7 Plus. I need it to use front camera. 2. Gives strange low readings, like 15 lux on a bright day. I don't think it is calibrated for 7 Plus. 3. I don't like nor want it to give me light levels for all my photos from the beginning of time. I wish I had bought a different one or the developer updated this.

Improves White Balance

Pixel Wrangler

The auto white balance settings in digital cameras can be fooled by mixed lighting and the white balance presets vary by the quality of the camera. I often carry a professional white and 18% gray double-sided card to do accurate white balancing. It makes a big difference in the colors of the photos. I decided to purchase this app to use the color temperature feature to measure the light temperature of the scene and enter that value as close as possible into camera as the set white balance instead of carrying the white and gray cards or using auto white balance. The app color temperature resulted in surprisingly accurate colors in the photos even with mixed lighting. Note that many digital cameras do not provide Kelvin color temperature as a white balance setting option. I would have rated the app higher if the color temperature was a larger font, the database saved the color temperature, individual database records could be deleted instead of the current all or nothing, and database records could be edited to add location. Maybe this will happen in a future update.

Impressive

Everyone who Gardens should have this app. Not only does it measure light in foot candles and Lux, but it records the date and time and a thumbnail picture of the target. It takes the guess work out of adjusting light fixture distance for indoor plants.

Useless

The front camera option does not work. I want my money back. :(
