Got the free app so I could measure the light and sun into our apartment block as the property speculators want to block it with a new hotel. Will get the paid app for my partner who likes photography if it works well. Seems to be good and not many permissions - like that a lot!!

this app measures the illumination of a surface “focus point” of the camera instead of the illumination level on it’s camera position

Super useful. May not be exactly accurate but it is very helpful for determining if something is getting as much light as you think it is compared to the rest of your space.
