Worth it.

Not real hard, but do have to correct a few things by using the book. Not everything is intuitive.

Brilliant Idea

This app was defiantly worth what I paid for it. I Love making little trinkets out of home materials, and this app inspires me to take that love, and make something amazing out of it. This game is it’s own little world with adventures, puzzles, mysteries and so much more! I have a bunch of games on my phone that I love, but this takes it to the next level! This game is amazing! I hope to see more like it!

Frustrating game... but beautiful

I really wanted to love this game, but I find it extremely frustrating that you have to keep referring to the “book”, and then try to read the TiNY print! It made my eyes and head hurt, and I’ve tried playing multiple times. I wish you could access the guide book in a easier way- larger ( I’m not old, not blind BTW), and easier to get the page you need. On the plus side, it’s beautiful and the attention to detail is admirable!! If you could make obtaining the book instructions easier, I would gladly increase the star rating.

So much potential but so many frustrations!

First of all, the visuals of this game is beautiful beyond doubt. And the room for users to learn more about & think more creatively about electricity within the narrative could’ve absolutely been five stars for me. But so many things frustrated me while playing, starting with the controls: I couldn’t override a previous motion with the next — meaning I had to wait until that motion was completed before I could execute the next. This is frustrating because 1. there’s always a chance you unintentionally clicked on something 2. it limits flexibility in movement while navigating through the landscape. Sometimes you remember that you actually had to go to point A before point B in the midst of walking towards point B and want to turn back — but here, you have to wait to reach point B, then go back to point A, and then back again to B — so many steps & too much waiting! Next was the inability to fast-forward to a location. Yes, the landscape is completely amazing, and I understand you’d want players to appreciate the view — but when the narrative requires the player to go back and forth from place to place, I think it’s just practical to be able to fast-forward to locations. Now the narrative: OFTEN TIMES I was confused about what to do (and all I play are puzzle games) due to lack of clarity in the requirements to move forward. //**maybe spoiler**// For example: at the Cliff, I had no idea that there was a fourth window because the house was completely different from the others — & the construction guy clearly seemed like the only reasonable 4th (since he was just right there). Even making the character say something like, “I guess he won’t help” or something that hints that this is not your guy would have been great. More dialogues from the character similar to the above are needed to help players realize that they’re missing something or not looking at the right thing. Now this could be me just being picky, but since I’m writing I’ll add that I wish there is an option to view the manual at a larger scale to read the words clearer. I understand that it probably isn’t a problem on an iPad, but it was way too small even on my iPhone Plus to read somewhat comfortably. If you put all that effort to make this elaborate manual about electricity, why not make it legible for all devices?

Fun but...

Loving the game except the manual in the game had the wrong code to activate the staircase in the Market. Spent quite some time trying the code thinking I was doing something wrong. Had to go to an online walkthrough, which I hate doing, to find the correct code. Frustrating. Other than that, the game seems fun and has great graphics.

Best iPad Game Ever Played

What a great imagination and concept, full of surprises and wisdom!

Does not sync, very frustrating. Poor customer service.

The game is interesting and quirky. For some reason it does not sync to the Apple TV. Also, game progress isn’t saved no matter what I do. No problem with my phone or iPad.

Amazingly beautiful.

This game is as fun to play as it is astonishingly well produced. I'm so very impressed. Please make more!!

Great game!

This game is so impressive!

Astounding in visuals, lacking in gameplay.

The first thing I said when I opened this game was “Wow.” I couldn’t believe that this game’s visuals were made purely through real life modeling. After all, I got this game because I knew this, and I wanted to get the whole effect of actually playing it; because good visuals or no good visuals, no game is a great one without entertaining gameplay. Then I actually started playing. After playing for a few hours, I was underwhelmed by the gameplay. All I experienced in this game was easy to solve puzzles. Nearly no story. No mystery. And no shock factor at all. If I had one word to describe the gameplay for this game, it would be “lacking”. There could be so much more done to make it so much more entertaining. Maybe it’s just me; maybe I’m not the kind of person that can just appreciate a puzzle game, and puzzle game only, for what it is. But with as good visuals as this game has, puzzles aren’t enough. I need a story...that is, something to keep me hooked. Without having that, games like these get boring fast. I would suggest passing on buying this game if you want something more than visuals and simple puzzles. If you want something more fulfilling, maybe try a game like “The Silent Age”. It has excellent visuals, somewhat challenging puzzles (but not too challenging), AND has a super compelling story with a more than satisfying ending.
