Tough Shopping

iPad app version absolutely needs landscape mode, as portrait is useless. When this feature arrives, I’ll return.

Still no landscape view on iPad

tried and failed

The one and only app I have that has only one way to view on my iPad. It’s really annoying. The app works nicely and is designed for a phone only apparently. But seriously have you guys ever heard of a tablet?

Haven’t Mastered the Basics Yet

This app is a joke. Availability and aisle locations are rarely reliable and you can’t even get store hours right. All of the Charlotte area stores show as closing at 10 pm yet when I arrive at 9:15 it’s closed. Seriously!? This app winds up wasting more of my time then it saves.

Please improve search

SoylentBlue

I like the interface but the search function is terrible regardless of the product. One example...I searched for exterior slab door and it returned interior bi fold doors, door knobs, hinges, and screws. I like Lowes but usually shop at their competitor because their app is flawless.

Wish lists

Daggersmom

In a house with multiple shoppers we utilize lists for gifts and idea sharing. This app does not have a easy way to add to a customized list. I see the add to the quick list, but if I want to have a discussion on what to get for Christmas or what is needed for this ongoing improvement project vrs hey I like this idea as a possible solution.

App works only if the store is organized

Zero stars please

Numbers of time where it says x amount in stock ended up looking for zero in stock and many times where things aren’t in the right places. Most importantly I keep showing up in store and wait 20-30 minutes for them to search around and ended up zero

Bad app!

Bderemo

Won’t find my location, won’t accept the zip code I use, won’t let me shop without it! Crap app

Simply does not work

upwardj76

This app seems to be working normally until you get to checkout. It will not advance to the next screen after entering shipping info, so essentially pointless for online shopping.

Helpful app

We found this app helpful when doing research before purchasing appliance suite

MyLowes Account vs OLAM

amjice

I had a brain fart and deleted what I thought was a duplicate My Lowe’s account number, causing me to lose the transaction history associated with that particular account number. After using the SMS-Chat from within the app, I was informed that the deletion was permanent but they were able to confirm, and I agreed, the transaction records that went bye-bye was inconsequential. There were ample opportunities for the customer rep to improve their level of professionalism, customer service, and courtesy, and I factored that less than stellar experience into my review of the app. I suggest that the developers consider anchoring purchase history with the online login credentials (E-Mail, phone number, and/or name, etc.) and not on MyLowes account numbers. It is apparent that multiple account numbers can be associated with the same online account login so it seems trivial that MyLowes loyalty account numbers can be associated with specific purchases, but _all_ purchases should be linked to the login. “Millen” from Customer Service statement below is disingenuous since deleting the login account should be determinative that the customer no longer wishes to have Lowe’s retain purchase history (which most companies really don’t purge since such data, with claimed anonymizing efforts prior to its use, is instrumental in their marketing efforts): “I am sorry you accidentally deleted your card, however saving people's information when they specifically tell our site to delete it would cause its own issues including privacy and security issues. Since our store system updates at night, I was able to look up your original card. It has one purchase on it that was returned.” Finally, if Lowe’s were truly concerned about customers’ security and privacy, they should implement and enable Apple Pay in-store and in-app as it is currently the most secure form of payment since credit card numbers are tokenized and transaction details are hashed and encrypted in a way that hacking those details makes it impossible to reuse the purchase information. Even seasoned tech users like me can experience a brain fart with tapping the wrong icon so there should be a means to facilitate and correct such mistakes so that all customers, including those that may not be as savvy. In the end, Customer Service – in the form of the convenience offered by functional tech and escalation to a customer service rep – is still the differentiator. In this regard, both app (tech) and live customer assistance experiences fell short of what I’ve come to expect from Lowe’s.
