IOS 11

Infocom games were my entrance to computing, typing, analysis, and humor in the early 1980’s that simply existed no where else. I found them pleasant to revisit from time to time when I need the familiar. That said, not updating this classic is just plain wrong! Please add support for IOS 11!

Are you going to update the app to ISO 11 ?- kind of feel like you took everyone’s money and ran !! - the game is great but not if you can’t play it because you don’t keep the code current !! Why can’t you be like everyone else and update? Right - Apple is always updating and so are your customers what the heck do you think is going to happen? - so now we cannot use it until you give us an update - thanks for the ten dollar rock -come on do the right thing - please don’t say you don’t care - maybe you can tell one of your kids about how you spearheaded the effort to correct this injustice once brought to your attention and they will be bragging about you on the playground - or maybe tell some friends about it at a dinner party and they will think you are amazing - I feel this is an excellent opportunity to improve your karma — so get egghead Magoo over there to code everyone an update - tell him he has the work the weekend - what else is he going to do ?- provide some excitement to the poor fellow provide a platform for him to feel like he is relevant and valued - you won’t even have to give him a raise next year! Maybe just a spirt of excellence award printed off the colored printer make it look official and a 20 gift card to subway! Don’t get to many chances to be a Hero — grab it !!

How much effort would it take to make this app iOS 11 compatible? The legacy of these games is undeniable. I just found out today that Zork (and subsequent infocom titles) ran under a early virtual machine! That’s pretty astounding that a TSR-80 or Apple II had a virtual CPU running on them in 1980. Anyway, this was one of the most accessible ways to play this collection for a while and I think it’s a shame that this bit of computer history has fallen by the wayside. I wanted to show Zork to my 9yr old son and remembered that I had an easy way to do that only to discover that it was gone. I know their are other ways to make this happen, but honestly there is something to be said for history being simple to access. So just letting someone know that a patch would be appreciated! (By at least one user) :) thanks!

I have been so happy to have found this app years ago. Takes me back to my childhood playing these games with my mom and I remember the box with all the additional pieces inside! I have the app on an old iPad which is perfect when connected to a Bluetooth keyboard. Please keep this app updated for current iOS so that I can keep these games on newer devices!!

Please update to support new iOS!
