Is this the 80's?

What an old school interface and graphics. The character movement is straight out of games from the late 80's: characters stand there in a slight wobbly way, waiting for you to interact with them. The interaction is via prompts to the gamer, and you pick from a list of responses. I wish the reviews I read mentioned this sluggish interface. Although the game cost only $2.99 USD, it should be only $1...or free for the first few minutes, until you decide if you want to invest more time. Not me - going to delete it.

Complex story with layers. Good character development. Interesting challenges that will test you a little bit but not too hard. I also likes the hint system that was always available. I was here for the story, not so much the challenges. The graphics are not PS4 graphics but c'mon, it's a cell phone game. And they have a nice minimalist-type look to them. More games like this please.

I enjoyed the story line of this game, and the backgrounds were very pretty. The appearance of the characters themselves and their very unnatural movements left something to be desired. Perhaps what annoyed me most in this game is that is the, well, more or less teenage boy-esque jokes. Penis jokes, porn jokes, talking about women being hot or not (in other words, like objects) left a very sour taste in my mouth. As a female gamer, I do not appreciate this. I have rarely encountered it in adventure games I've played, and find it both disheartening and off putting- although I do not think the creators of this game intended it to be sexist (and alienating) in that way, I hope they change this in future updates to be more inclusive.

I have never before played a game quite like this one. When starting off, it seemed like an average game, average life, and I thought what is so special about this? Then Boom. First main video scene in slow motion just left me in awe, and through the course of the game were many other stunning scenes that showed the genius creativity of the people who designed this game. It has twists in the story that made me go oh wow, did not expect that! The dialogue made me feel like it was my normal life with normal conversational moments, while at the same time having this huge, secretive adventure. Not sure if I would rate this 12+ with some of the content, and I wish it lasted a lot longer. Cannot wait for the sequel!

This is one of my all-time favourite iPhone games. Its beautiful graphics make it fun throughout, but the things that stand out the most are the characters and the story. The character's interesting pasts and their personalities work together beautifully with the storyline. In many games like this one, the game is fun to play but the story is boring and doesn't seem to play out like it would in real life. With Lost Echo, the twists and turns throughout the game keep it interesting and entertaining. I was hesitant at first about buying this game, but once I got it I didn't want to put it down. Lost Echo is a great game for a great price, and I recommend it to anyone.

Artwork, story everything. Loved it. Couldn't stop playing. Lots of work and care went into this. Thanks for putting such a quality point and click game out there with a great story.
