Good game for adolescents

I only played the two free episodes but thought they were good. I liked the approach towards LGBTQ+ issues, though it isn't very present in the 1st episode. This the first game I encountered that allows you to choose your own pronouns and the main character looks androgynous. There is a bit of cursing and crude humor/references that parents may not like but it is minimal. The special free episode discusses the effect of the US 2016 elections. I thought this episode was great but it leans liberal which some people may not enjoy. Otherwise it gave a good overview of recent events, negative reactions involved, ways to deal with them and how to get involved.

From the range of variety in characters to the story everything is engaging and beautiful. Once you start playing you can't stop. It keeps you wanting for more. I loved the fact that we could choose our pronouns and that the characters we could select from were androgynous looking. It made the experience more personal. I also deeply like the fact that we don't have to choose to be with someone. We can actually choose to remain single to the very end or choose any character of any gender. Although I would have liked that our gender or actions made significant differences in the game. For example Marc seems uncomfortable talking about lgbtq+ people and as my character was non-binary I found it puzzling that he was strangely ok with dating the main charactee right off the bat. Or that our actions can make slight changes yet there is no way to get it totally wrong or right or get good or bad endings. Which I think could have made the experience fuller. BUT AMAZING GAME!! I CANNOT WAIT TO PLAY MORE GAMES LIKE THIS (Or maybe future episodes??) TOTALLY WORTH THE 10.99!!!

The gameplay was boring I looked at 3.9 stars and I thought “probably can’t get worse”. Well boy was I wrong. Being able to create your character. It would do better with less predictable things in the gameplay and more customization of your character.

So I wanna make a long review but also keep it brief. I literally bought be bundle and here I am at 3:30am of the next day finished reading it all and I'm ready to announce my feelings of this game starting here: Pros: Artwork 10/10, I've played lots of graphic novels with romances and this has be my favorite ever. Story: 15/10. As you read above I am writing this at 3:30am. I read the first chapter around 9pm...bought the bundle for $10 and continued all the way through...no game/story has kept me this intrigued. Characters: 10/10. I related to hard to the MC because that's what my life has only ever been. I do like the intricate homo/hetero/gender-neutral/transgender options, which makes its good for everyone to enjoy not just I as a straight male. The characters were very Immersive and none stayed boring. However I did encounter some issues: Choices: Granted I did choose the rude options because Hanniferjane did come off as very rude with the "gay Paris" comment...however there were lots of times where I personally didn't like any of the available options...so I choose something justifiable Romance: Well what can I say, we did have that, it was a super rollercoaster but...I agree with lots of players, it felt way to Nora driven, not that I don't like her but I very much like Abby but because of the forced breakup scene with Em...it caused a minor issue in making me feel the choice never mattered. I hope we can get actual endings NOT centered around Nora (again I like her but she's a second). Chapter 8: ....I didn't read it...I took a quick dive and immediately left the chapter. 1 it's very obvious which side of politics it takes, which is fine...sort of. I personally prefer made up politics such as the Imperials vs Nords in Skyrim, where I get to choose my side. This forces your tongue. 2 I do not like heavy politics in a free and fun game that this was. I understand any potential reason but why...why in a fun romance game do we need heavy political views...I literally chose a high school where both my crushes were going and then BAM politics. But enough about that. Honesty this game deserves way more ban 5 stars...even with the negatives but I hope the developers take some of the players words and ideas and make them a reality...I'd gladly pay for a new chapter in HS where I can reattach to Abby and live my life freely without risking her leaving me again...games still gets like 11/10 best graphic novel based game ever played would always recommend, totally worth my money

I love the fact that there is finally a new game on the market that gives the player the choice over whether or not you identify as a female, male, or non-binary individual! It feels so amazing just to have the option to be able to be who you are in a video game that is full of dialogue that feels natural to the characters in it, as well as an amazing game design to boot!

I am not a fan of the adrogynous protagonist. For a game who says it’s lgbt friendly, as a MTF trans I pride myself in looking FEMININE not androgynous. It’s disgusting.

I play as a kid named Micha, and I love player x Marcel. Also I feel like there are references from Be More Chill. I don’t like how you have to pay for all the other episodes. LIKE I WANT TO SEE MORE PLAYER X MARCEL! WHEN DO THEY KISS! I NEED ANSWERS!

Lol this was fun! I liked the stupid goofy stuff in it and the mystery. I just got the app so I could ship LGBT couples but it was really cute so 20/-10 A++
