This hysterical app used to be free and now all of a sudden it’s trying to charge me a lot of money per week just to be a member, you can’t close the offer in the top right corner which leads me to believe that this is a new charge for app is that correct? Too bad...

I don’t use this as my primary weather app, but thought it was funny enough to download after a friend showed me the app. I have had it about 2 years. I just opened it to today to see what today’s humor would be only to encounter a really large ad screen promoting their new subscription service. You can’t click on the “x” to close the ad window because they’ve nestled it under the top menu bar of the phone. The only way you can get past the ad screen is by clicking free trial and then canceling before you commit to that. It isn’t a one-time ad screen either... it now pops up on every launch of the app! (I was curious, so I tested it.) The subscription offer states it will give me 3 days free, then renew at $9.99/week! So... $40/month for a super BASIC weather app with a funny blurb on it? HECK NO! The ad splash screen also lists two other rates... $14.99/month or $33.99/year. Nope! No matter what they charge (...seems as if they’re confused themselves)... it isn’t worth it! The free version of WeatherBug provides you with way more utility including 10 day, wind, radar, maps, etc. HumorCast was funny at first, but no way in hell I would pay a premium app price for a basic app that tries to force you into the subscription and can’t get their pricing structure to make sense. This app is going in the trash!
