Cons: the lancer does not lance deep enough. I am still adjusting the depth and lance of lancer to pierce my finger The strip requires more blood sample than other glucose meters The meter malfunctions when away from WiFi. Maybe it was a one time fluke? Pros: convenient to log sugar levels Convenient to print or email meter readings to doctors. Convenience of supplies by mail is a time saver.

Livongo scale and app

Having problems since we got the scale. Contacted them by email four times now (as I like a document on all computation). Nobody gets back to you. All they have done is give a case number. Don't bother with this company. Piece of junk and unprofessional support.

First of all, I am an employee of Livongo, but I am not on our product or engineering team. I use the app like our members do. I can always have my BG readings handy, and I can share with family and my doctor if I want to. It’s another way for me to reach out to a coach to schedule a coaching session. I can order supplies. I can get recipes and read educational articles. Overall it’s a really well designed app that I use when I need to, and it makes my life easier and more convenient. That’s why I like it.

Room for improvement

New version has more data but still no HealthKit - this is one of the most basic reasons for an app of this nature ... A solid enough app however there is much room for improvement - a must have is HealthKit integration and a nice plus would be improved reporting and the ability to add details to each measurement that the device itself doesn't allow.

Confirms my address before shipping me more free strips, provides direct access to CDEs, and the reporting makes it easy to track progress week over week. Looking forward to more customized insights as the app improves.

Works great and super easy, just need two things to make it perfect. One, make all the charts from the device available on the app. And second, make the app able to share you info with Apple Health.
