Needs Syncing Ability

suchamb

Having tried app after app over the years this is BY FAR my favorite when considering all of its categorizing and sorting features. I keep coming back to this one. However, I keep testing others because of their syncing ability. I give this one 4 stars. Would be 5+ if I could sync between my iPhone and iPad. I don't always have both devices in front of me when an item comes to mind. Syncing is so important for people with multiple devices. Please, please, PLEASE add instant cloud syncing to this otherwise PERFECT app!

Please add Notifications

I love this app & use it for everything. I love the many different features. However, can you add notifications? Sometimes the badges are not enough & I'd love a pop-up notification on my screen before one of my tasks is due. Also with the new iOS7, could the notifications show up in the Notification Center?

If only there were more stars!

Friggin love this app! I've had it for years & use it daily! Everything from my groceries to budget, to keeping track of what movies & comics I own & want to buy. This app has a list for everything!

THE BEST!!!

vo8

I don't know how this app isn't more known. It is BY FAR the best app for grocery list or any list for that matter. I've been searching for an app like this for so long & I've tried MANY, paid way more for other apps & they don't even come close to what this app can do. Like another reviewer said reading the manual you will find out that you can do way more than what you think. If you think it doesn't do it go to the manual & you will most likely find that it does. It is well worth the money!

The BEST list app out there!

healwithcake

I love this app. It is the best one out of the dozen similar ones I have tried. I use it frequently every day. It is simple, easy to use, and can be customized to any type of list. It's especially wonderful around the holidays as I plan my gifts and shopping with this.

Really handy app

Listomni is really handy. I can't even remember how I survived without it. I can create a grocery list and send it to my husband, I can check things off, and it auto suggests items I've listed before. Nice clean interface, intuitive design. I recommend it to people all the time. Ps I Would love to see an ipad version!

Desperately Needs an Update or Replacement.

First let me say that this is still the most customizable list type application that I have found to date. It lets you create different ‘views’ of your data/lists much like a database application. So, lets say you have a list of movies you own. You may have a dozen different types of info about each movie that you track (i.e. Title, Director, Genre, Release date, actors, and on and on.). You can then set up multiple ‘views’ that show a portion of that data. So, maybe you want to see a list of movies you own by a particular director, you can set up a view for that. Or, maybe you want a view by genre, you can do that to. Or, maybe by release year, that is also do-able. You can have multiple lists and each list can have it’s own set of multiple views. I have a “Books” list that has headings by Author. Under each heading, I have “series” that the author has written. Under that, I will list all of the books in that series. Finally, I have another field provided by the program called “Action”. So, for each book in the list, I have created two actions “Buy” and “Read”. That way, when I go to the bookstore, if the action reads “Buy”, I know I have not purchased it yet (prior to this app, I have ended up ‘re-buying’ books I had already read :-( ). Once I buy it, I change the action to “Read” because my wife reads a lot faster than I do, so I may buy 6 or 7 books at a time and they may sit around for quite a while. Once I read it, I click the ‘check box’. Now, with all that said, this application is getting very, very long in the tooth. Although you can run this application on an iPad, it is in the ‘scaled’ mode. There is no ‘syncing’ between devices. There is not a desktop version (such as Wunderlist has). You can download a template of your individual lists to your computer and use excel to modify the list. You must then upload that file to each device. So, it is not as simple as Wunderlist where you simply add an item to a list on any of your devices and it gets synced to a desktop version and all of your iOS devices. What I would love to see is an updated iOS version and a new Mac version that all synced the way that Wunderlist does but has the customizability that the existing ListOmni has. I have corresponded with the developer and he had indicated that he planned an iPad version. However, in later communications, he indicated that he had had some life changing issues that had put ListOmni on the back burner. That was over a year ago. So, I sadly believe that my wishes for an update will not come true. So, if you don’t need a desktop version and you don’t need an iPad version, this application is still great. However, if your needs require synchronizing and/or a desktop version and/or an iPad version, then you will need to look elsewhere. Hope this is of some help.

Great!

I have many list apps, but this one is the only one that I use. It's interface is user friendly, I love how it starts looking for regularly used items when I start an entry, the division of sublists, etc. I might even dump my todo list manager if this synced with Toodledo somehow. But for now, every list except my todo and contacts: all on listomni. Thank you, developer!

Love this app BUT......

KeepYerMoney

I have used this app for several years. I love the app but give only 3 stars because it rarely gets an update and there is no syncing between devices. To "sync" you have to backup from one device and then restore to the other. We all have free apps that sync and yet this relatively expensive app does not. It will be time consuming to start over with a new list app but I'm looking for a new list app. to do just that and recommend you do the same if you run this on multiple devices.

Best List App out there STILL

Walrus12

I have tried other apps out there & this remains the best of all for ease of use & wide range of options. It's such an elegant app. Oh please, someone keep this app being properly supported & developed! I need it!
