fun

fun! like that you can upgrade the letters by playing and make them worth more. takes a while to find an opponent at times... that's why i only gave it 4 stars. should make it so that you can have favorite players you can rematch, that would be great!

Cute and fun!

thisisbritt

The game is super cute and the quick matches are fun and mean everything moves quickly, so you can play for a couple of minutes or for a lot longer if you want. The settings are hard to find (if there are settings. Are there settings?), and I wish by purchasing from the shop I wasn't still punished with ads, but neither of these things really ruin the game.

Terrible Game

lh390

The programming is basic. It is slow, the whole waiting for your opponent is ridiculous. Way too many adds. Timer is too short and you should not have to hit the check mark to register the word, it slows thing down and is easy to miss hit the check.

Pay-to-win trap

jetcogs

The core concept of Letter Club is fun, but it really starts to break down once you get to mid-tier opponents who have clearly spent hundreds of dollars to power up their letters and thus do three to four times as much damage as you, the regular player, can do with identical words. If what you're looking for is a fair fight, be prepared to spend a month's salary on this game, otherwise don't bother. Also very displeased that certain "adult" words are not recognized by the game. I'm playing to win, not to protect the delicate sensibilities of people who would prefer that certain words simply didn't exist. Your kids will learn them anyways (at school, from friends, in a restroom stall...). If Letter Club is fixed, it won't corrupt them any more than real life is going to.

Fun!

This game is so neat and fun and simple ! The graphics are fun too!

Flawed Balance

The game has cute animations, and is overall well designed other than one crucial flaw- the health pools. I've had several matches in a row where I will outdamage them substantially- often by 20 points or more- yet they win because they took out my health bar and I only got half of theirs. I'm not sure how thy get so much more health, but it's annoying to outdamage someone yet still lose by so much. A lot of the time, I'll start a match and see that my first word does next to nothing, then just give up because I know I won't win only due to the fact they have twice my health. Fix this, and I'll play again, but until then it's just not fun or satisfying.

You're Not Playing Against Human Opponents!

SweetestDeals

It leads you to believe you're playing in real time against another human, but it just picks two random words in the dictionary and puts them together to create a ficticious opponent's name. Examples: Reassignments Besmearing. Frontally Outwardnesses. Heartlets Evildoer. Cheloids Wrestler. I mean--come on, seriously??

Most wait game

Tyvpnfree

The design concept is like idiot. Such a wait time game, no interesting.

Fun but severely flawed

Mike Bazemore

The game's premise is fun and well-implemented, but at mid to high levels it's ridiculously imbalanced toward people who have spent tens to hundreds on the game. The same word will net your opponent 2 to 3x the points. Additionally, it seems that players are given different starting boards. Not confirmed, but this should never be the case in a game like this. Lack of a backspace, excessive ads, no leaderboard available, and sometimes absurd wait times are just a few of the fatal flaws for a game that could easily be 5/5 stars.
