Ruined photos

As I was trying to edit a photo, going through the filters to see how they looked, it locked on one of the filters and kept it there. Tried changing it back to normal, nothing. I tried deleting it, nothing. I would not go away. Then I checked in my photos library, and it switched out the original with this terrible edit that I did not even save. Ruined a very important, very old photo I had and wanted to keep.

Was working great until it said to write a review then it stopped working. I erased it off my phone and re downloaded it and it keeps closing out
