My 7yr old loves stack the states and tried this one and was super unimpressed, as was I. You just touch each state and see a card that shows the state and lists its capital. That us about it. But my biggest gripe? The state shapes. I know the designer was trying to make something dufferent, but for kids to learn the states, they really need to see the actual shape, not just a close geometric facsimile.
