Close, but fatal flaw

Needs furigana or kana readings on study cards. Romaji is not for serious students, and kanji is learned gradually. Otherwise there is some good content here.

It may not be the best in the world, but I'm I do think that it is very helpful! I use it all the time. It has it's ups and downs, but over all I love it!

though some of the phases are.... umm...... random..... like "I'd like to try skydiving sometime" (which is weird cuz me and my friend talk about going skydiving ALL the time!) and "want to make a snowman?" but they're all really funny!!! this is SUPER helpful!!!

Although I am not all the way through this app and have just started, I have already learned a lot of phrases! This app is great for beginners that want to learn the basics.

This app no longer updates on my iPad 1 (and no, I'm not interested in a new iPad, thank you). Very frustrating.

I used this app last summer to learn japanese (especially Hiragana) and it was awesome! I like the part where it shows you the proper way to write a character/symbol! I had to focus on school though and probably forgot almost everything, but I think I just need to refresh my memory back! I'll try to learn this again this summer :3

Dont get me wrong this app is awesome, except the sound is not working now that apple wants to update the system to ios 7. Please fix it, as soon as possible! Was gonna buy the upgraded version except the sound is not working. Please! Me and my daughter is learning lots of stuff on this app! Thank you!

Great app, the best you can do short of learning from a native speaker or visiting the country. Now all I need is the motivation to use this app more often!
