Great Italian helper!

I am in my second year of Italian in high school. Since I am one of the best students in my class with a very bad phone habit, my teacher recommended this app to me. I am learning Italian at a very fast pace and reviewing what I already know. My mom has even gained an interest because she wants to brush up on hers. I'd recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn Italian. Five dollars well spent!

Dear all the people complaining about the in-app purchases

Well what do you expect? There was obviously going to be a catch. It even said under the title "Offers In-App Purchases." Some people call them deceitful. The whole freaking point of there being only one free lesson is so that you can test out the app and see if you like it or not. Besides, $4.99 seems like a pretty good deal for an extra 49 lessons. It costs about as much as a dinner at a fast food place. There are more expensive programs out there, this seems like a good deal. I personally love this app. I am building my vocabulary and spelling skills.I can always buy a separate app for grammar rules. Anyways, love the app. If the developers could add Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish that would be amazing.

Definitely worth it.

You get a lot for your money, and the games are actually really fun.

I feel smarter already--Great App!

4 1/2 stars really. This is a fantastic app for learning Italian. It's intelligently designed and it's got games that keep you interested and motivated. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it "graduates" you to the next level too quickly. If you haven't learned everything 100%, you're forced to go back to multiple menus each time you want to review--which wouldn't be too much of a problems if you studied the previous lesson all in one go. However, I like to use this app in short bursts on the train, so every time I reopen it, it resets to the level it 'thinks' I'm on and I have to remember what lesson I'm really on and go back through the screens. I feel like this could be easily solved with a button that comes up when you've mastered a level and asks you if you want to stay on that level or proceed to the next. Overall, it's great and I use it a lot. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone currently trying to learn language because it's fun and keeps you engaged!

Fun way to memorize and learn

I'm hooked on Mind Snacks. I bought the Italian version to prepare for an upcoming trip to Italy. In just one week I've mastered 245 words. It is easy to use and fun. The graduated levels allow you to perfect your lessons so you can unlock new games. The games use a variety of techniques to test your rapid recall, spelling, listening, understanding. Once you've mastered words, you can also play games using just those words, which is good reinforcement. I'm giving this review 4 instead of 5 simply because this version doesn't sync seamlessly between my iPhone and iPad. Other than that, I highly recommend Mind Snacks and am considering their other language & SAT packs.

Good app, just don't get a new phone

I unlocked all of the levels (paid) but when I got a new phone they didn't transfer over and their customer support was not helpful. 5 stars for the app, 1 for customer support.
