Excellent first jump into Chinese. You even have a star list of specific vocabulary of your choosing to learn, not just their words in their lists.

Thorough word list with clear spoken pronunciation

It's difficult to find applications that are clearly spoken with an emphasis on annunciation. This program uses the simplified script which matches what our son is learning in his immersion school. Both my husband and I appreciate the categories offered, making it simple to find the words studied each week. Not having to hunt around for words is a blessing being the vast differences in written language. The categories are plentiful and quite complete. This is one of the top three apps we use for additional studying. Enjoy!
