Very poor level design

If I’m being honest, I feel bad for the poor pixel artists who put their heart and soul into this project. The art looks fantastic and all props to them. However, the levels are so poorly designed. The game mechanics are choppy and don’t feel smooth at all. For an indie game, smooth movement should be the #1 thing you focus on. For most of the jumps you have to make, a single jump is too short, but a double jump is too far. It just feels so choppy and infuriating. I feel like the game devs were trying out the no-tutorial style where the new game objects are just thrown at you. In some cases, this can make for a very engaging gaming experience (examples: hollow knight, Celeste). But for these thrown-together levels, it’s just frustrating. Remember in middle school, when you were working in a group to complete a packet so you split the questions evenly among your group. That’s what it seems like the dev team did for the levels of this game. There is no sense of progression or things getting harder as you move through the game and the ads are just unbearable. All that being said, the art and animations are on point, so that’s what saved this game from a one-star rating.

I’ve been playing this for a solid couple of minutes but every time I reach a certain area I can no longer move and now I’m upset because I payed 4 dollars just so I can’t play the game? Common guys help me out!

After several months of playing, I come to the conclusion that this game is really an elaborate money-making scheme. Overall the graphics are good and it’s fun to play, but then comes ads. You have to watch one ad every four deaths. But this game is so immensely difficult at some times that you can die twelve to fifteen times before reaching the next checkpoint. So the ads roll in. Next, the game offers power ups. But guess what, you have to watch an ad to get them when you come across them in a level. What type of goofy game doesn’t have any free power ups. Lastly, the game has a serious problem with the number of fruit it gives in a level as well. You need 20 fruit to access each checkpoint. But you can’t just get every checkpoint the normal way, and here’s where the ads tie in again. Towards the end of the level it starts to have only 15 fruit between two checkpoints. Then you can’t afford it, and you have to watch an ad to get the checkpoint. OR you can skip the checkpoint, which you have to do a couple times anyway if you don’t want to watch any ads to get checkpoint. When you skip a checkpoint, then you will likely die a few extra times, and here comes the ads. Also, the ads are in need of change themselves. A few times I got an ad for a senior fall alert button app, one of those things for old people to call for help if they fall down. I’m willing to bet that 99% of players are not seniors aged 65+. This game is fun, but the ads and the difficulty made me delete this.

An amazing, thought provoking, almost rhythmic game, and I would rate 5/5. Unfortunately, just like all other mobile games, they decided to go to the dark side and push ads. Now, even though there aren’t as many ads as most other games, there still is about an ad every 3 minutes. One way to combat this is to turn on airplane mode, but then it won’t save my accomplishments, which I find very frustrating. It also has a member ship (like all other mobile games) to remove ads permanently, which I find dumb. I’m not going to spend 4 dollars of my hard earned money just to remove ads of a game I rarely play. Pretty good game though, and I would rate 4/5.

love this game but i wish they would come up with different themes for the levels because it kind of seems repetitive.

Its a pretty fun game but there are way to many ads. I have never seen an app that gives you this many ads, it also gives you the same ones over and over again. Its pretty annoying.
