Why is this different than the Leadership app from Giant?

I have absolutely no clue how this application is different, really different, than the Leadership app from Giant. I received an e-mail saying that my Maximum Impact Club content will only be available through this app, so I downloaded it. It was free…hey…not bad. But then opening it, the interface is IDENTICAL (minus a few icon differences) to the other app. It feels like a badly written template app done by a college intern interested in learning iOS programming. Don't get me wrong. The content is great. The app itself is lame, and nothing new.
