Crash city

I got this app to replace our missing Gospel Art book but it does nothing but crash. I can’t get anything to work properly

Chromecast compatible

I’m so grateful to have a way directly from the Church sites to use Chromecast!

Gospel Media is AMAZING!!!

I love this app SO MUCH! Even without presentation mode, I’d still love it because it allows you to view all of the media on the website. I also love that you can easily download media, and even more easily remove it off your device when you don’t need it anymore. Now I don’t need any videos downloaded on Gospel Library with this amazing app.

Good but...

I wish it supported just regular mirroring onto TVs instead of just chrome cast.

Great Potential . . . But
BallJamin

I use this app every week in family Come, Follow Me study and when teaching lessons at church because it has such incredible potential and a few features that work really well. However, I always come up frustrated. Content is not updated very often. For example, there is a Come, Follow Me section that has all the lesson videos in one place. But, it only has 5 weeks available and they are all from the New Testament, which was from last year. Also, the Book of Mormon videos section stops at 1 Nephi 18 and we passed that weeks ago. Searching pictures brings up very poor results. But searching videos by titles is excellent. The saving playlists feature is great but syncing across devices is spotty. Chromecast functionality is good for some things and just doesn’t work with others. In short, I really hope the app continues to be developed. No update in 7 months is worrisome. But thanks for the work so far. Please keep the updates and relevant content coming.

Not fully functional

Not all content is available. This app should interface with Come Follow Me and Primary Sharing Time materials and, in fact, those resource titles or sections are offered under “Images”, but the links do not open. Why include at all if the content is blocked?

Good supplement to lessons, some bugs...
Marhwama

I have really enjoyed using this app to find images and video clips to use with my lessons, but I did want to point out that the app crashed every time I search “Jesus” under Images. Though if I search under Video or Music, then click over to Images, I can then load the search results.

Video download is hit-or-miss
skippyct

Several times, I am able to find a video and play it OK, but if I then try to download it for offline playing then it fails and tells me to check my internet connection, even though it’s working 100% for every other application, and even for the Gospel Media app in all other cases I specifically need to be able to download so that during a Sunday School lesson I don’t have to rely on the meetinghouse Internet, which can be slow and cause playback issues when streaming. The Gospel Media app doesn’t give me any further details of why it won’t download. It just doesn’t ! This is incredible frustrating. It seems that the problem occurs with some videos, but not others. This suggests maybe a problem with the URL that’s being used “behind the scenes”. Strangely, streaming playback always seems to work. Double frustration ! If I go to the Media Library website, I can watch the videos e.g. in Chrome, and I can download the videos by copying the URL to VLC Player. But really, I shouldn’t have to use this “hack” !

Saves me every lesson!

Out meetinghouse wi-fi is really unreliable in our classroom - all that cinderblock! I was struggling with showing videos that would buffer and stop in the middle. Once I found this app I’ve never had trouble! The library is searchable and downloads are easy to do and the option to organize by topic folders that I create is a bonus! Thank you! And blessings heaped upon your heads for this!
