Launch Buttons is a MIDI controller that lets you perform your tracks wherever you go. You don't need to carry your expensive gear; your phone/tablet is just about enough. Works with virtually any DAW after a very simple set up. Ableton + Launchpad 95 script is recommended.
This free version gives you access to all 64 buttons on the 8x8 grid, 8 scene launch buttons, 8 buttons to navigate and 7 buttons for transport controls. The Launchpad95 script gives you a step sequencer, scale mode, and many more functions.
The Apple Watch extension lets you access about one fifth of the Buttons. This means that you can use the app to control a 3x3 clip launchers, 3 scene launchers, and 4 arrow keys to navigate through your clips. It also can display some of the buttons used for step sequencing, good enough for a little stunt in a live set I'd say.
It includes the the "old" colors (red-orange-yellow-green) - if you want to upgrade, Launch Buttons Plus provides you with
- full color support (RGB)
- 16 more functions buttons (in addition to the 16 you already have)
- 16 freely assignable knobs
Have fun :)
why do you have to play to do the music no wonder why you have not a lot of raiding i want that fixed tommorow or i will tell every one that wants it
The latency and tendency to disconnect put me off a bit. it would be cool to see the colors mimic ableton. The watch app does not reflect what is on the phone properly so it’s hard to see where I am without actually looking at the track box in ableton. I was trying to find a way to connect without internet, router, or the upgraded bluetooth version and I figured something out on mac. Just create a network with the mac and turn on internet sharing in system preferences. after that connect the phone to the computer by bluetooth and then your phone should show up in audio midi network setup even when not connected to internet. Ps, I could not get launchpad95 to work with it. I might try again later but i’m just using regular launchpad scripts
I was tempted to buy the full version of this cause it’s only like five dollars but I can’t even get this free one to work, even tried connecting my iPad to my MacBook with a USB to lightning cable and I am getting midi messages from the iPad through this app but I cannot get them to be recognized by Ableton, I guess I’ll look somewhere else.
Okay, so I opened the app and there was a menu that was covering the whole display of the app and the exit button wasn't pressable and all the other options would work why is that?
I went through the steps and checked it again to make sure and still don’t have response with ableton. Idk what I did wrong or if something needed to be fixed.
It's the worst you can't even use it so why do you have it because every time I press on it it says You have to have the full version
TBH I would rate this 0 stars, at first I thought it would cool but when nothing worked, I tapped the help button. It lead me to a website that explained nothing, a Facebook page, and a youtube account. This app is worthless and tells you to buy the full version. Don't waste your time with it.
This app is crap, and it tells you to buy the full virsion and waste your money, and isn't that is why there is a free version?!!!?!?!??
