I got all the upgrades/riders you pay for with coins. Get Scary Harry asap. He's the best one. Combine the 4x coin bonus from the bus tricks with 3x from the magnet bonus and you can get huge amounts of coins per game (30,000+).

I love playing Lane Splitter and like especially the daily bonus update they posted few weeks ago. But it doesn't work anymore after the new year. Please check into this.
