- Thousands of words and sentences -all visualized with images
- Full native speaker pronunciation
- Fun Quizzes
- Clear and easy to understand design of the program
See a pineapple in a supermarket, and the correct word pops into your head! Thanks to L-Lingo, you have learned the word visually, as well as by listening and reading.
L-Lingo immerses you in the sights and sounds of the Vietnamese language, rather than just the written word.
The multi-channel learning approach achieves results much quicker than traditional textbook approaches.

There are multiple definition / photo inconsistencies or misplaced audio clips throughout the app. The in-app Feedback button also doesn’t seem to work... I’ve enjoyed the way the language is being delivered however and am otherwise happy with my purchase
I gave this app five stars because they add something that no other language learning app does… They explain the cultural grammar behind the language. In understanding the composition of grammar I find it much easier to understand the language.
I combined this with a few other Vietnamese language apps. The most useful thing I learned as a tourist was di bo (dee boe) which with which translates "is walking." This was helpful when responding to assertive tuk tuk drivers or boat pilots. It usually brought a smile too.
I paid for 3 levels, but the program won't let me in. If I am not successful soon I'll ask for $ back!!!!!!!!
It's like Rosetta Stone for a fraction of the price! The quizzes are excellent reinforcement too, with a great combo of questions both with and without photos and words and pronunciations to check your memory. My only gripe is that every language is in a separate app. I like Reverse Lobotomy for having one app as a hub for all languages rather than needing a separate app for each language, but it's not a deal breaker.
Totally worth getting. So easy to use that now my kids can speak a little Vietnamese!
This app is great. Good recordings of people speaking (in a northern dialect) with helpful pictures. Only downside is if you are a subscriber on their website. I pay $10 a month for the same lessons on their website. Why can't I just sign in on the app and get the lessons instead of paying another $15 to get lessons I'm already subscribed to. Doesn't make much sense seeing as I use my phone more and could theoretically use it more than my computer to study. For this reason, I will give this app 2 stars. If they change it, I'll give 5.
This is a really amazing tool for learning a very difficult language. It only introduces a few words at a time and adds to your grammar slowly, but over the course of the lessons you can definitely sense progress. I have a few small issues: 1) occasionally the program will have to use a word it hasn't actually taught you. I suspect this is because that word is necessary in Vietnamese but not, for instance, in French or other languages L-Lingo teaches. But it is very confusing. 2) some lessons have a very limited number of test sentences, so you always get the same "five bottles are on the table" or "the boss is standing in the office." A few more sentences to choose from in each lesson would help.
I got the app expecting it to be mediocre in its ability to teach the language well. It very much surprised me. I have a Vietnamese girlfriend and am learning out of a book at the moment, but this app is pretty cool. It's slow forward integration into more difficult parameters is amazing. I am thoroughly satisfied with the app. I may just purchase the full version out of appreciation.
