Photo & Video | $1.99 | 19TH CENTURY APPS SP Z O O | iPhone, iPad, iPod |
Everything depends on your patience and manual skills. Holding the liquid in one place for too long will result in a burned area. Omitting a part of the picture will leave it undeveloped. Don't be afraid to experiment. Each photo is unique!
When you feel the picture's ready, stop the process. Wait a sec for the chemistry to sink in and... voila!
Inspired by 19th century's collodion photography, Koloid lets you create one of the kind, b&w photos that are truly yours.

NOTICE: The app is not supported on the iPhone 3GS, iPad 1st Gen or iPod Touch 4th Gen.
I hated developing photographs. Until now. This is an incredibly cool app. Must have if you are a photographer.
A really fun way to kill time. Cool effects. I hope they will update it for iOS 11
Doesn't work with OS 11, so will we ever see an update? Use to use this app in my Photo History class, but not anymore.
Unique app with neat results. Needs the ability to import photos. This is too long a process to do real time outside of experimenting. Max resolution is 2080 x 2706. Please provide full resolution (at least as an option). Also I don't want a date stamp on my pics. Please give the option to remove it. Thank you for the ability to shoot both 3 x 4 and 1 x 1 format. Touch to focus would be nice. Looking forward to future updates.
Just got this and love the process. It's pretty unique. The results vary, depending on the movement of the liquid on the image. What I would love: option to have date on or off; ability to import from camera roll; and full resolution, as I'm a fine art photographer and print fairly large.
So far, every time I take a picture, it crashes! I have the iPod Touch 5th gen, so it should be working. Please fix!
Export full Rez and it's a winner! Some have complained about the speed...clearly they've never spent hours in a darkroom. LOL It's not THAT long of a "wait" AND it gives control to the artist...rather than simply the programmer... But again, full Rez output would be outstanding! And the difference between kinda cool and really useful.
The composition skews to the left. I am a stickler for composition. If the app can't take a picture how I composed it then I want my money back. Please fix this very important detail.
