Breaking news?

App is very functional but I don’t understand what’s up with so-called breaking news alerts. Breaking news alerts are fluff 95% of the time and actual breaking news the public needs to be informed about, not a peep. Example; several months ago I got a local amber alert on my phone and nothing from KOAT. Yet, a story about a woman skydiving on her 90th birthday is worthy of an alert?

When you get notice of breaking news it’s not there! Plus having old news such as the man with his Christmas tree story and the mayor of Santa Fe about poor cell phone service. It’s just not a good app like it should be. To watch a news video have to wait at least 30 seconds for the ad to end.
Frustration

My frustration is getting a pop-up notification from KOAT about some news worthy event and go to the app when there is nothing about it. I love KOAT but get frustrated using the app. The interactive weather app is great.

Almost every time I get a notification I go into app and it’s not in there soo frustrating why send a notification if your app is not up to date ?
