App worked great

I hauled an old airstream from Ohio to California. Was a little unsure where I'd end up at the end of the day. Once I got a few hours out from stopping I pulled up the app and picked a spot that was along my route. Made a reservation and they were ready for me when I arrived.

App works great to find a KOA campground - just enter your desired location. Photos, reviews, site maps are all very helpful in planning a trip. Glad to be a KOA member!

Look, I love KOA. I normally tent camp or use the single room cabins without a bathroom. That said, the KOA app is in need of some help. The biggest issue with the app is the fact that it crashes (completely closes) when certain KOA’s are selected and I enter the check availability stage. When I’m planning week to two week long road trips (usually staying at multiple KOA’s), this becomes very annoying as I need to move to the laptop. What’s the point of an app if I have to use my laptop. I’d say this happens in one of five KOA’s within the app. This is based on my experience. This also becomes very problematic when I want to change my trip on the fly. This usually requires me to pull over to call the KOA and/reservation center. It’s not a end all be all, but it is really frustrating in the moment. It’d also be nice to have a feature that allows you to set your date(s) and see the availability with a predefined geographic location versus visiting each KOA’s reservation site within the app. Overall, it’s good. However, with some improvements the app could really be great.

The app is basically useless. You can use it to find KOA campgrounds but there are many apps that do that plus find non-KOA campgrounds. There is no place I can find on this latest update to log in and access anything on your account. So you are far better off downloading the Allstays app to find campgrounds and using your browser to access KOA account.

The app is a great idea, but really needs some more thoughts given to quick access to reservations made. I also miss quick syncing with cloud, computer and another mobile device. When switching from one to the other, the previously made changes are usually not available right away. Another point is the saving of data about the RV, personal preferences, and the history of bookings. Not available, not synced between online account and app. Some work ahead, development team, but it is a good start. Thanks.

There is nothing in this app that isn’t on the KOA’s website. The app is constantly crashing as well. I don’t know if that only happens on an iPad but I expected more from an organization as large as KOA. Surely their pockets are deep enough to pay for an app that works across all browsers and devices. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with this app and will be deleting it.
