"Every logophile in your life is sure to love Knoword." - Netted by the Webbys
"Terrifyingly addictive and so fun!" - University of Delaware English Language Institute
"Remarkably enjoyable... and it's incredibly addictive." - Lifehacker
Found out about this on U of Michigan’s Dyslexia Help website. As someone with “tip of the tongue” problems, this may help. It’s fun, for sure. Negatives - no settings? No directions (how do the coins work? They’re free, I know. No way to see the words you skipped? That last one would be awesome! Any way to set up an account from the app? Maybe point people to the web version? Btw, the font size is too big (only on results page) on the little old 6s.
Do you get enjoyment out of finding new words and/or challenging your vocabulary? Then this game is for you! A dictionary definition is given as well as the first letter and the goal is to guess the word. Each session lasts 1 minute and points are gained by guessing right. The game is very fun but also has its flaws(for now). No landscape mode means you're stuck with the small keyboard and knowing what difficulty suits you will take a few tries. You can make an account to earn achievements and top the leaderboards but no gamecenter and no autologin makes it more trouble than it's worth. Whether you're looking to guess words like mist and gelatin, or lethargic and kowtow, you can kill a few minutes easily while learning at the same time.
Can't wait for it to remember your login/password and Facebook integration.
This game is fun and addicting. I like it as much as playing Words With Friends. If you're not sure you want to buy this game, play it online for free.
Its fun, but needs some patches Sometimes the words repeat themselves frequently. You have to login everytime u get in the app.. Annoying. U cant type the words with the horizontal keyboard which makes it slow to type fast words.
I was seeing definitions repeat after my very first game and continue to repeat often. Seriously? With 7 million words in the English language? This really should be a freebie game.
Fun, but words repeat often and the fact that you can't turn the keyboard horizontal makes it a lot less fun. Play the computer version - it's better.
Needs to fix glitch of repeating definitions, other than that pretty coo, game
fun and educational. I love that it tells you what the word was when the time ran out, one thing I've always been frustrated with online.
