Wow, again! You read my past review and made some improvements. Thank you! Currently, the settings allow single digits and double digits. It would be great to have the option to increase the digits to 3,4,5, and so on. I can’t say enough about how this app has helped me increase my addition and subtraction skills. I really enjoy the mental feature a lot!

One of the better training apps

Little clunky but works well and is a good app for learning the abacus. Lots of settings. Goes a bit harder with a setting but wish it had an advanced mode and even get into decimals etc. I also can’t figure out how to get rid of ads.

This app does a great job teaching the abacus skills sequentially and slowly and then incorporating older skills with new skills into random practice. It teaches multiplication and division as well as addition and subtraction. Suggestions for improvement would be to add practice for larger numbers and teach multiplication with two and three digit numbers. Also, it would be nice if you could turn off the number indicator to give learners more practice reading the numbers. This app is so good, I would pay money for an upgrade. It is the best app for learning the basic concepts of the abacus that I have found.

This is a great App! My only suggestion is to allow the function to turn on and off the number indicator. By not seeing the number will challenge the user to be confident in his or her answer. The user would not be able to advance to the next question unless they get it right. If the user struggles then they should be able to turn on the function to see the number indicator to help them find their mistake. Make sense?

Better than the other options

This app, as opposed to most others out there, actually teaches you how to use the soroban. Note that the explanations are very -VERY- rudimentary, yet useful. Also the explanations seem to be written by someone with little command of the English language but are decent enough to be understood with some patience. If you know zero soroban, then this app will get you to be able to do some basic math in a matter of minutes.
