This app help me understand the anatomy of the knee. I often go back to see the 3d procedural videos so that I keep remembering all the parts. I recommend this app for all medical students.

Great Knee App

Doctor told me I tore my meniscus and then proceeded to scribble something unintelligible on a piece of paper. Left his office and downloaded this app. Now I understand. Looks like surgery for me.

The Future

3D modeling is the future of medicine and the patient and Doctor relationship. It's really great to see and understand what's happening.

Impressive

I'm not gonna lie, this app is pretty cool. I'm in my residency in orthopedics and I use it all the time to explain common procedures to patients. Showing them a short 3D video of the surgery is a ton easier than trying to explain it in words. Would recommend to anyone, patient or provider looking to educate themselves and/or others.

Nothing free and too expensive unless you need it badly

Paul, just Paul ...

Great idea but essentially no content for free. No trial and prices are too high. I reviewed 4 videos from different decide apps and they don't even have any sound. Basically what you get is a collection of silent videos of possible exercises and a collection of silent videos about conditions. There is some nice sample imaging for conditions. Supposedly there is some additional good animation of the model, but I cannot see this without paying $8. As stands worth $3-6 per month depending on how bad you need them. If had sound, especially what to do and not to do on exercises, could be worth $4-$8 per month. Might be worth more if your doctor is using it. Try it but you'll be probably get more out of searching for videos on YouTube instead. Also, their privacy policy isn't too great, especially considering the medical information.

My cousin has synovial chondromatosis

***6.0 Update*** Given that this is such a rare condition, the doctors and other healthcare providers she talked to had difficulty explaining what it was, what it could do to her knee, what she could do about it or why she needed surgery. Now, this application doesn’t have a video that specifically talks about that particular condition (it’s rare, after all), but it does have an incredible 3D model that her last surgeon (the one who eventually performed the surgery) used with labels and different layers and whatnot to finally explain to her in a visual way she could understand, exactly what her condition was and why she needed the surgery. She was at peace with her decision and confident in the surgeon and after the surgery and good PT, she’s doing well. It’s amazing what a little education can do to improve someone’s health decisions.

Great!

I bought the full version when this software first came out. Then they changed their software and I could no longer use it. They got my money and I got nothing. Thanks for nothing!
