After looking through the rather large catalogue of ingredients I'm impressed. Really the only thing keeping this app from being 5 stars is its lack of meat substitutes. I'm certain there are more options than the 6-7 given.

I had been wishing for an app that I could use while grocery shopping or at home for when I ran out of certain ingredients or couldn't find what I needed. I hope they keep adding and adding! I'd love to see fish substitutions. I hate it when I'm at the store and they're out of halibut (or whatever) and I have no clue what I could use as a substiture.

This is great! It has everything that you would ever need and a few you never thought of. Must have for everyone regardless of your cooking abilities.

Just so-so. Very basic. Some subs are silly, like no egg yolks? Why just sub a frozen yolk or sift a dry one. Silly but funny. It's free and takes little space and no ads (yet!).

Really? I can replace beef stock with a bouillon cube? No way! Actually, this app is pointless. Pick up a copy of "The Joy of Cooking" and you'll be better off.

No real great info. Not if you have any experience cooking. Guess it would be great app if you have never cooked or are starting to learn.

If you don't have eggs, I doubt you'll have dried egg powder. If you don't have bay leaves I really doubt you will have boldo leaves. Some of the items are good such as dairy, so I'll give it 2 stars... Oh and I love my Merillat cabinets in my kitchen!!
