Does Not Populate Fields

On OS X, it will not populate fields as it claims in the App Store description ("• Scanned barcodes are entered into any program on your PC or Mac”) at least not automatically. The scanned number is in the Kinonis app window. From there you copy and paste it into the field/app that you want it in. I thought the “Pro” version would give me more options since “preferences” were grey’d out in the free but after dropping $6, just the ads disappeared.

This only allows you to try it once. In that one try I thought I could scan to a document. Maybe I am not sure because I wasted my one scan to their app which added a extra 0 at the beginning. There are no settings to modify how things are sent to the receiving editor so no return or tab or removing the prefix 0. Also no help file because it's a Mac/iPhone app. I don't understand why regular barcode readers scan the numbers right but phone apps add a 0 at the beginning

This barcode app is exactly what I wanted. I catalog books and as nice as it is to have the inventory stored on my phone with other apps, If you're cataloging directly on a Mac or PC, this is invaluable as the ISBN appear instantaneously. There is a bit of a hassle setting it up. I'm currently using VMWare. You have to download the desktop host client from their site. Make sure not to install the adware. Both the iOS device and computer must be on the same network and subnet. If your phone isn't communicating, go to services in windows and restart the Bonjour Service. It would be cool if it worked with networks where devices are on different subjects and to update the app according to the new app development standards that are to come with new iterations of iOS. Your digits or info appear exactly where the cursor on your computer is.

I went ahead and spent the $5.99 so that the ads would not interfere like others had mentioned. I got it to work once, though the data appeared after I glanced away from the PC screen. When I exited the app and restarted it, the Windows driver did not active. Also, the app keeps prompting me to upgrade. I THOUGHT I JUST PAID FOE THE PRO VERSION!!!!!

This app will no longer work with the upcoming iOS 11. It needs to be updated or it will be left in the dust.
