One of the best tower defense games on mobile.

I come back to this series of games often. They’re simple to pick up but can get very complex and offer a wide range of challenges for just about everyone. Will always recommend this developer to anyone.
A delight

This franchise holds a special place in my heart since I played this game back in early high school (about to graduate college now). Revisiting the franchise has shown me that I didn’t remember the games with rose colored glasses. I enjoyed the original and frontiers as much as when I first played it. So there wasn’t much I could do to resist buying this sucker once I became aware of its existence. Sure enough it’s just as awesome as the others with some of its own new polishing added to the popular formula of the game. My one and only gripe is that it’s all been a little repetitive. I say this only because the same basic formula has been followed very closely with only slight changes made. Visually it’s pretty different and thus *feels* different. But it doesn’t expand upon the game’s core concept to the degree that I desire. I’d love to see upgrade trees expanded and new tower types added in addition to the originals. I think that’d be a fun and exciting way to freshen up the formula. With that being said I hope the new game shakes things up in a way that surprises us long time fans:)
The ascent too hard

The level the ascent is too hard I three stared the other levels but that one I can’t even beat with the purchased Phoenix hero. I’m on normal difficulty so it shouldn’t be this hard, especially this early on in the game.
Tis a fun game.

Best tower defense

I play all the tower defenses. Gemcraft and Cursed Treasure 2 are some of the best, but Kingdom Rush balanced tower defense so perfectly that I don’t think Ironworks can even top itself. This game IS tower defense. It defines it. Anything that can achieve 70% of what this game does is a very good TD. Origins specifically is the first app I buy on any new device.

Yeah, KingdomRush and KingdomRush Frontiers are much better than KingdomRush Origins, but I appreciate the effort to bring us another TD game. The balance was off. You need to start us off with more money, and keep the money coming at a faster clip. The level would be over before you could earn enough money to get all the towers added and upgraded properly. Maybe if I’d had 5-10 more rounds in each level I could have seen what all the special abilities did. And, really, I never found a use for the mage tower. It’s a waste in Origins. It’s laughable. And, I mean it really makes me lol. That is definitely NOT the case in the other 2 games in this series. Their mage towers command respect. And, all the transporting around/trail hopping that the enemies do in Origins — gimmicky, confusing, and made the game seem disjointed. There’s a lack of good tower positions at the end of trails where you need barracks for blocking. And, frustrating to have trails with 2, 3 or more exit routes but still only one hero. You need to work on the script, too. The dialogue or speaking parts are much better in the first 2 KingdomRushes. They are funny and cute. What the tower guys say in Origins is annoying and even embarrassing. “Lets Rock. And Roll.” Really? lol. That’s the best you could think of? Rofl. No comparison to what the guys are saying in KingdomRush: “Here’s to the King, baby” “Fully loaded” “Time for blood” “Be quick or be dead”...among others. Some of your better moments are the axe throwing barbarians in KingdomRush and necromancer towers & heroes like Ashbite in Frontiers. ...wish there would have been some in Origins! Who left your staff after the first 2 great KingdomRushes and before Origins? Idk, but get them back!! I have played the first 2 games in this series for many years, ever since they came out (starting on desktop). And I will continue to play them, because Origins just comes up short. I never tire of playing the first 2 over and over and over, but I probably won’t even try to finish Origins.
