Visually, this is the best Koi Koi game I tried thus far. I would highly recommend it to beginners and kids. However, I have been playing Koi Koi for years and this version isn't challenging enough in single player mode, even on Hard. That's because "Kiki" rarely calls Koi Koi. If the developers fixed that, it would be a 5-star game.

I became very interested in Koi Koi from a movie called "Summer Wars". Very cute introduction to Koi Koi! I am still learning, but you should definitely try Kiki!

Love the layout, love the ease of play. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is lacking ai. It won't call koi koi even if it is behind on its last turn. Also, open feint does not work properly for me within this app, so I can never access high scores.

Not sure why they sell apps that have not been updated in 5 years because it may not be compatible with newer versions of iOS. As for the game the card moving animation is slow even when set to "fast" and it doesn't show scores by round.

The new UI is terrific and has taken a great game and made it perfect. It's easy to learn, easy to see everything, and just a beautiful game.

Great game, with one fatal flaw. It locks out sound from other apps. I can’t listen to music or the radio while playing.
W oww..
I really want to like this app more, as I can appreciate how slick it looks and how nice the animations are. However hard mode is seriously broken. It’s not fun to play when Kiki ends a round after getting a single hand. I would say this happens 9 rounds out of 10. If you want to win you’re basically forced to end the round yourself if you get a hand first because it’s almost guaranteed Kiki will end it next. I’ve played a couple other hanafuda apps over the years on iOS and android that had some good, challenging computer opponents, so I know it’s possible to do without resorting to cheap tactics.

Used to play this a lot, but the recent interface changes have taken away the fun. The cards seem smaller and less attractive. I liked the simplicity of the old version better.
