I loved this app, but now it won't open

My kid loves this app and love how much it has taught him, but after the most recent ios update it fails to launch on my iPad mini. If it still launched, I would absolutely rate this app 5 stars!

My 3.5 year old is learning to read and really likes this game. But he gets really frustrated when the hand in the game shows him the answers by pointing at it. I wish there was a way to turn off the hints so he can have more time to figure it out. Or just add a hint button in the corner for when he wants a hint.
No sound on app

Just paid to download the app and there is NO SOUND!!! Sound symbol makes no difference. The app is to teach children to read which can't happen if they can't hear anything.
