Thought there would be much more interaction. There's not. It's pretty much like reading a very short book. Considering how much work goes into Adventure point and click games I think the price of $3.99 is high for this style of gaming. Graphics just ok, sound affects are mediocre. Being able to choose, to some degree, which direction the story goes in is the only really interesting thing here.

So happy to see Penguin's take on one of my favorite game genres: the visual novel. It has beautiful graphics, a captivating story, and tons of player choices that affect your playthrough! Def worth the price considering the high replay value and quality. I can't put it down!

Great atmosphere, solid story, and the art direction is better than any other iOS visual novel I've played. It's a little too short for the price tag (especially since it's all a promotion for a book!) but if you're into visual novels and/or supernatural fiction, DEFINITELY pick it up.

I really had fun with this game. I just finished and I'm pretty sure I'm going to play again to see a different outcome. Playing a game again is unusual for me, it this just sucked me in! It also perked my interest for the book "Omen".

I adore cyoa and would like to see more women- centric cyoa. This is meant to be a teaser to a new series... And isn't very good. There isn't enough variation in the endings. The choices are mostly incidental ( be rude or be nice) instead of compelling major moments. Trust Kelley's name and wait for her book unless you really enjoy cyoa so much. The app was well designed.

Well done choose your own adventure. I enjoyed the illustrations and the different outcomes.

This is well written and fun. Graphics are nicely painted. You get to choose the course of the game and I had to play through a couple times to see all that happens. I know many complain that $3.99 is too much because you can finish in an hour. But a comic book costs about the same and can be finished in like 15 minutes. Or you can get a burger at McDonalds and eat it in five minutes. Or an iced mocha for more and drink it in a couple minutes. A graphic novel is around $20 and can be read in an hour and a manga about $10 or so and read in an hour. So I have no problem paying a mere $3.99 for a visual novel that probably cost thousands to make considering how much artists and writers charge. So its a great deal. I think people on the App Store need some perspective. Sheesh
