As a novice birding enthusiast, I have tried to use numerous different apps in the past to learn, and this one is by far my favorite. Rather than looking through field guide based programs, Kea's game-based interface allows me to improve my knowledge while also having some fun. Even though I am relatively new to birding, I believe that this app would be a valuable tool for birders of all experience levels. Highly recommended!!!

A few months ago I was looking for an app to teach my two daughters about birds. I tried a few others and it wasn't going very well, then I found this app. They really like the gamification of it. I've been birding for years and I too like to sit and test myself.

This is a great app to learn birds. It is still early for an app that is incredibly complex to perfect, so don't expect a flawless app. That said, for birders or birder-wanna-bes, it is a great app and deserves support. The idea of a game to learn about nature is a great one! This version has added a lot of better pictures and smoothed some performance issues. There are still crashing problems, and for advanced birders, it is on the easy side. Regardless, it is a fun way to pass time while also keeping bird ID skills polished.
