Ads without warning

This isnt the first app I've had that tried to blackmail users into paying money to get rid of advertisements and it will suffer the same ignomious fate of being deleted. I understand the developer is trying to make money and I have no issue with that. But the honest way would've been to release it as a new app rather than an "update". To retain the forced advertising of the new pay app an "update" that consisted of a new app advertising alert on first launch would've been sufficient. Time to look for another app. I'm willing to pay, but it won't be to this unethical developer.

Don't upgrade - added ads behind our backs

This was by far the best calculator out there until I upgraded. The color scheme is nice, but suddenly there was an ad banner at the top of the screen. There was NO MENTION OF ADS in the notes or upgrade information. I uninstalled it immediately, as this very poor business practice.

Deleting App

I've had this app since it came out, and it was a wonderful app. But now that it has ads, I'm deleting it. I would rather pay for an app than have ads on it. I think it was particularly deceptive to add ads after years of no ads.

True the developer put ads in the free app without warning. Bad plan. But I do prefer the new look, and the supported features better than the old app, and I am not bother by the ads. I use the app on an ipad and there is plenty of screen space. I will keep it for now.

I'm going to delete it too, because I don't like the ads. How,about either telling folks it will have ads or offering a paid one with NO ads

I love this calculator even with the ads, but for all of you that complained you weren't told that you could pay to delete the ads, you should learn to read. The description states you can pay to delete the ads and you can, because I did. I like all the different calculator options and the sections divided using colors. Great app for $0.99 without ads.
