The app runs in landscape mode (either side) and the instrument has 7 prongs, allows for multiple prongs to be pressed at the same time and also allows you to strum.

You can also change the tuning between C Major and G Major from the main screen.

too much static feedback
Fluteladyknits

The annoying static feedback makes this impossible to paly for me. It is annoying. I don’t understand why you would release an app with this poor sound quality. I also did not like the tuning scale and didn’t find a place where this could be tuned to other scales. I was generous in giving this 3 stars. But I am deleting it.

Don’t waste your time on this app

As a person who plays the Kalimba, this app depicts a Kalimba to sound different and very far off from the actual sound. There are so much more Kalimba apps that offer a wide variety of features, for example, when I am traveling and don’t have my Kalimba on hand, I use the app “Kalimba Connect.” Unlike this app the notes are in tune and correct order, they give you song selections so you can learn new songs and it is the closest Kalimba app to the real thing. Please, Don’t waste your time on this app.

Needs some work but not much

Some notes are out of tune

Not Properly Tuned
Alnilam1

The D and the A (5th and 7th notes from the left) are exactly the same in both tunings. How can that be?

Update....
icepulse

Does nothing.

Really Cool!
Ipods r awesome

I don't know why people say there's a problem with the sound! There isn't! This is an awesome app! It's also FREE! FREE! Get it now!

Nice
Sakik Nod

It is nice. The sound could be better but this is not the real kalimba and it is free! Dont think you can use this In the studio, just to get some fun.

Needs work
E Stiles

A true African kalimba will have a slightly cleaner sound. A cheap American copy will sound like this. Plus the A note is the same as the D note. It's an ok app just needs to be fixed. The last update did clean up the sound but it still needs work. Review update: The latest release has fixed the A and D note being the same.

Fun to play
Love The Drummer

Good app and the price is right. Ability to change musical Keys is a good idea. Would like to see more Keys and a record function. Worth downloading
