The new Apple Watch extension gives you a quick sudoku-fix when you are stuck waiting in line.
Just Sudoku was made by a sudoku fan, who was annoyed by all the apps that were feature overloaded.
Therefore it is very simple and to the point. Omitting superfluous frills.
Simple straight-forward puzzle solving like in the newspaper. Ideal for casual playing.
Features:
- Tons of unique puzzles
- Classic and jigsaw board layout
- 4 difficulty levels
- Hinting on a cell by cell basis
- Dark friendly version (doesn't hurt the eyes and bother others, when playing at night)
- Smart buttons (great for beginners or more difficult levels)
- Customize font and number sizes
- Landscape and portrait modes
- Take notes with pencil markings
- Display where numbers are already placed in the puzzle.
For all the pros out there: these sudokus will not need advanced solving methods such as X-Wing, Swordfish, Jellyfish and Co. to be completed. Basic logic as well as single, double, triple naked pairs are all you need to know.

I’ve been playing sudoko on this app for at least five years and have never felt the need to try another one. It is endlessly entertaining and challenging. Also, the developer responds quickly to questions and suggestions.
When Smart Buttons is enabled, and taking notes and you accidentally press a disabled button, the note still appears. So, if buttons “1” and “3” are enabled (in note taking mode) and you press “4” (which is disabled), the “4” note will still appear. Is this intended or not?
This is the purest version I have found. The game allows you to play without all the cheats other apps don't make optional. However, the stats are flawed as the app counts erasing a mistake as another mistake. And the ad-free pricing is ridiculous.
Hope an update is coming soon. It no longer works with the latest OS.
Can't believe it is free! The ads do not interfere at the bottom of the screen. Love the simple design and options if you want them. It gets you thinking in such a way as to promote enhancing your skill level. Sneaky but effective! BlackieCat1
Long time user (free version). Have gotten settings the way I like them. One complaint is that the game board is covered at the finish. For what reason? Also, subscription? Really?
