Work in progress but extremely valuable

We are just starting to use JoyFlips and believe it has great promise as a valuable family history tool. The software is a work in progress but should improve the more users submit feedback on problems and enhancements needed.

Love the ability to catalog, comment on and share family photos with people I care about. Beyond that having the photos in the cloud aa well as the joyflips memory stick give me the peace of mind they will not be lost regardless of circumstance. Highly recommended!

A: Not enough Information about your product. I’m looking for a good/quick photo scanner for my old albums. A trade-off between FlatBed Scanner quality vs Quick and Easy. The application requires you to sign-up for an account: 1. That should be clearly disclosed in iTunes. 2. Not interested in doing so, just to try the Application.

Works great... Finally got all my old photos scanned and shared with my family.

I like the interface. Features are great.. But.. After taking some photos at a library I drove two hours from home to visit, I couldn't get back into the app. It kept asking me to log in again and eventually crashed. Luckily I hadn't left the parking lot. I was able to go back into the library and capture my images a different way. I look forward to a stable release.

I can scan a whole shoebox Full of old photos in about a half an hour! The scan quality is great because of the iPhones great camera, and joy flips stores the full-size scanned photo in their free cloud storage and just puts the thumbnail on my phone. I can keep thousands of photos on my phone to look at any time without using up my phone's memory. The best part is I can also record my own or other people sharing their memories and tell stories about photos and their voice plays back with the photo, and Joy flips also turns their story into searchable text. It offers so much more than any other scanning app, and it's completely free.
